We're proud to have supported the development, testing, and analysis of many of the major U.S. combat systems in the field today. In addition, we've helped create a central repository of defense systems related information and resources routinely used by analysts, testers, and other specialists.

We are currently seeking a full time Explosives Effects Lead Engineer. This position is located in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.  

Primary Function: Performs advanced engineering research and analysis. Conducts quality control review, data reporting, and writes/reviews technical documents.

Major Responsibilities

  • Performs complex assignments by compiling and evaluating design and test data, preparing technical specifications, analyzing technical data to determine appropriate limits and variables for product, process or materials specifications.
  • Analyzes and interprets data collected.
  • Prepares technical reports and makes presentations to client, both formal and informal.
  • Conducts and/or leads small technical projects or phases of technical projects.
  • May provide technical direction to and coordinate the efforts of engineers and technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects within time and budget constraints.
  • Assists with proposal efforts. May prepare technical sections of proposals.
  • Builds relationships with internal and external clients and presents research results. Communicates with client with regard to the schedule and quality of deliverables.
  • Contributes to IR&D studies.
  • Supports business development efforts led by others and secures follow-on work.
  • Oversees, mentors and trains lower-level staff.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and have at least 9 or more years of experience OR a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in engineering and have at least 3 or more years of experience.
  • Candidates should have strong oral and written communication skills, be team oriented, detail oriented, and customer focused.
  • Candidates should have experience with MS Office applications
  • Sole US Citizenship with eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance and to obtain both TSA and DHS Suitability.
  • Determining the sensitivity and stability of improvised explosives/HME's due to impact, friction, electrostatic discharge, thermal changes, etc.
  • Conducting elemental composition, explosive potential, and/or detection probability of liquid and solid energetic materials
  • Development and application of test instrumentation techniques
  • Small scale and scaled-up HME preparation/safety testing/evaluation

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

  • DoD Secret Clearance
  • Modeling and Simulation of Explosive Effects
