We're proud to have supported the development, testing, and analysis of many of the major U.S. combat systems in the field today.  SURVICE's Metrology Group focuses on precision dimensional measurement, inspection and geometric modeling for a wide variety of commercial and Government clients in the power generation, aerospace, defense,  and manufacturing industries.

Position Summary
SURVICE is currently seeking a Metrology Analyst / Engineer to primarily support customer-site inspection, 3-D measurement, and 3-D scanning work. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Primarily conduct dimensional inspection and/or reverse engineering tasks utilizing laser trackers, CMM arms, 3-D scanners, photogrammetry, and/or other technologies to satisfy a variety of programs and deliverables for various customers.  Learn and master SURVICE's full suite of state-of-the-art 3-D metrology equipment, as well as CAD and other software packages, will be required to allow you to support the full range of services SURVICE Metrology provides its customers. 

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required, along with minimum 2 years of directly related professional work experience. To help you succeed in this regard, formal and informal, hands-on, and on-the-job training will be provided. However, prior experience is preferred. Seeking individuals with experience/expertise listed below - candidates with experience/expertise in multiple areas will be at a distinct advantage:

  • Laser Trackers
  • Portable CMM arms
  • Experience in Hydroelectric Power Generation or other large machinery inspection preferred
  • Precision Dimensional Inspection
  • CAD - ProEngineer/Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD
  • Reverse Engineering
  • Manufacturing drawings
  • TDP development
  • Point Cloud Post-processing
  • Tool and Fixture inspection
  • Dimensional inspection/analysis software - PolyWorks, Insight, CAM2, Spatial Analyzer, Verisurf
  • Point cloud processing/analysis/reverse engineering - PolyWorks, Geomagic, RapidForm, PointSense, ReCap

Security Clearance Requirement
This position will sponsor the select individual for a U.S. Government issued DoD security clearance. Therefore U.S. Citizenship is required.

Location / Travel
IMPORTANT NOTE: This position can be located anywhere in the continental United States, within reasonable proximity to a major metropolitan airport and travel up to 100% within the United States and occasionally Canada.
