Position Summary

SURVICE is currently seeking a Tactical Vehicle Systems Engineer to support USMC Medium Tactical Vehicles for our Marine Corps customer located in Stafford, Virginia. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering and survivability analysis, automotive design, systems integration, and vehicle performance predictions, including C4I systems integration, requirements analysis, test planning, execution, and reporting in support of the USMC PM M&HTV program.
  • Perform systems engineering, integration, and systems analysis on various weapons system, mission systems, and other large-scale systems integration efforts for medium and/or heavy tactical vehicles, including Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicles. 
  • Review and provide engineering change proposals during the routing and approval processes.
  • Review engineering drawings, and provide recommended design improvements during the DoD acquisition process. 
  • Work closely with the PM supporting integration, evaluation, and adjudication efforts on USMC vehicle platforms.
  • Support the design, development, review, and update of technical and training documents, specifications, standards, and policies.
  • Review and analyze test reports for program office and integrating program offices.
  • Witness activities at test sites, and attend technical reviews conducted at OEM facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Systems) or related field along with at least five (5) years of general engineering and three (3) years of specific experience.

  • Systems engineering or integration, or systems analysis on a weapons system, mission system, or other large-scale systems integration efforts
  • Medium and/or heavy tactical vehicle experience, specific Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) experience a plus
  • SolidWorks, AutoCAD and/or CREO experience is a plus   
  • Engineering Change Proposal routing and approval processes
  • Reviewing US Government and vendor engineering drawings, and providing recommended design improvements
  • DoD acquisition process knowledge
  • Military/Operational experience desired, with specific Marine Corps experience a plus
  • Travel may be up to 15%
  • This position requires an active DoD issued security clearance
