Program Overview

SURVICE Engineering's Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC) is a trusted agent role for the U.S. Department of Defense. The mission of DSIAC is to collect, analyze, synthesize, and disseminate scientific and technical information (STI) to improve the productivity of engineers and scientists in the DoD community and reduce redundancy in R&D spending. DSIAC accomplishes this mission by leveraging technical data from a variety of open source and Government databases in support of conducting research and analysis.

Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a full-stack Software Developer with experience developing end-to-end software applications to design and develop solutions from the ground up.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Writing efficient Python, JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, and/or CSS code
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining websites using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Working closely with web designers and data analysts to produce the targeted web applications/user interfaces
  • Researching different software programs, maintaining software documentation
  • Maintaining and expanding/enhancing the web application/user interface once built
  • Gathering information, experience, and lessons-learned to document and increase the efficiency of web application/user interface development processes
  • Working in a team environment


Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences or related degree with at least 2 years of related full-stack development programming experience specific to the following:

  • HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Server architecture
  • Configuring, deploying, and maintaining both virtual and physical servers
  • Specific virtual server experience with Amazon Web Service (AWS) GovCloud environment Impact Level (IL 2) and IL 5 desired
  • Configuring and maintaining the underlying operating systems of web applications
  • Configuring and maintaining database systems used by web applications such as SQL, MySQL, and Oracle
  • Server-side frameworks such as Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, ASP, ASP.NET
  • Familiarity with WordPress Website development a plus
