Position

Survivability Analyst

  • Location: Huntsville, AL

Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Survivability Analyst (Susceptibility/Signature) to support several Special Operations Command (SOCOM) survivability programs. Applicant has option to reside at a number of SURVICE sites including Aberdeen, MD / Dayton, OH / Fort Walton Beach, FL/ or Huntsville, AL. This position will focus on providing operationally relevant survivability (susceptibility/signature) analyses to assist with technology development activities that identify, analyze, and evaluate new survivability technologies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to SOCOM by conducting susceptibility analyses (IR, RF, and acoustics signatures) of several SOF platforms using modeling and simulation (M&S) techniques
  • Conduct top-level analyses to evaluate the survivability benefit of Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) upgrades/improvements
  • Interface with Government laboratories, DoD program offices, and industry partners to analyze survivability technologies and associated tactics and procedures for employment
  • Interface with SOCOM to provide survivability technology recommendations for future investigation
  • Prepare briefings/reports that detail outcomes and conclusions of analyses

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; if you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.

  • 3-5+ years of experience conducting weapons M&S
  • Working knowledge of weapon system susceptibility/signature models/simulations applications preferred including Suppressor, Xpatch, etc.
  • Experience with conducting Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs) and with conducting air combat studies beneficial
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a small team environment
